Sleep Physiology Effects and Circadian Timing: Routes to Understanding Mental Health (SPECTRUM)

Who are we looking for?

Volunteers:

  • Aged 18 to 30 years
  • Who experience trouble sleeping
  • With depression or anxiety
  • Who are living in the Oxford area

Our aim is to compare two behavioural sleep interventions to see which is more effective at improving sleep and mental health

What will it involve?

  • Receiving one of two behavioural sleep treatments
  • Recording your brain activity during sleep at home
  • Lab-based assessment of your biological clock (hourly saliva samples on two evening)
  • Daily sleep diary, and light and activity watch
  • Online questionnaires
